What a great book PAX is! I am an interventionist, and one of my groups read it and learned so much. "Some" of us cried, most of us laughed, and all of osmosed important life lessons. Thank you, Sara. |

Hello, I am a Miller Middle School student in 6th grade, and my friends and I read your book entitled PAX. I thought it was so lovely. I really love how you created the character Vola. I love Vola's personality, and I would really like to know how you decided on Vola’s background and personality. What made you want to have marionettes play such a major part in the story? I learned such good lessons from PAX, and the lesson that stuck out to me is, we all should help out in this world. I mean, look at what Peter did to help Vola, Vola helps people especially Peter. Helping has a ripple effect in this world, like spreading kindness. I think PAX also teaches what war does to this world, not just people but animals, the woods, and the environment. Thank you for writing a meaningful book for people to enjoy.

Hi Sara
I'm a belgian teacher and a few weeks ago I discovered a book called 'pax' in the library. I read a lot of children books, but this was instantly my all time favorite. I really loved it! I decided to buy the book for my classroom, but unfortunatly there are no dutch books available anymore... Searching the internet, I discoverd there was also a second book. If you have any dutch books available, I would love to buy them! |

Dear Ms. Pennypacker,
I just finished your Clementine series with my daughter and she wanted me to let you know just how much she loved every book. I did too. I was crying at the end of book 7! We went on your site to see if there would be more.
Thank you for this wonderful series!

Dear Miss Pennypacker, I just wanted to write and let you know how much I loved your two little books about Pax. I found the books when I was substitute teaching for a sixth grade English class. They are such lovely books and so touching and I’m hoping you write a third one about Pax and his boy Peter and little Sliver. I’m so happy she survived. You are a wonderful writer. God bless you! |

I didn't see a message list for "Here in the Real World," so I'm using this message list for " Clementine." I definitely intend to read that series, also.
I am so excited to find such an excellent author. However, there is no way an 11 1/2-year-old boy is finding himself wanting to wipe the tears from a girl's face, keeping his hands jammed in his pockets so he won't hold her close. Those are emotions for an older adolescent, maybe 15-year-old. I'm sure you know that, so all I can think is that your editors mean you put it in to increase sales. |

Dear Sara Penny packer: this is Ace speaking from SG/Spring Garden elementary school. A couple months ago we read a book called PAX. We thought this would be interesting and it was, then we took our books home. There was a nice story to it so we got excited and finished reading the book. Then we started to do more book club and then later even more months we got Pax journey home. And we got hyped and so excited then when we read it was so good and wholesome and we wanted more and had our own thoughts on it but we know that it takes time to make a book but thank you so much Sara Pennypacker for the books:yours truly ace & my 5th grade class.
