Appearances

It’s a difficult irony that the more popular your books get, the less time you have to check in with your readers. I’m really happy that my books have lots of readers, and I LOVE hearing from you. I do read everything that comes in, and I find the notes wise, funny, heart-felt and beautiful. But I hope my readers understand that in order to write the books you want to read, I cannot possibly respond to all your comments and questions. I am sorry about that.

It’s the same for school visits. I loved going to schools and talking with readers in person, about my books, about reading, about life. But I can’t do much of it these days because I am too busy writing –  have a couple of big projects going right now. When a book comes out, I usually do some traveling and make some appearances, and I promise to post the details on this page.
