Hi! this is shelby, im in 4th grade and i loved clementine, i love all of them, i just got through with one of them, it is a good book. Please make more of clementines book!! I just loved the one that i was reading!!! it was so crazy about margeret and clementine, they cut their hair!! and colored their hair, margeret sunset red, and clementines hair, is green! and margeret, i wish i had braces like her. I liked your people in your book, mostly , polka dottie and mostirizer!!! Bye!!

I like your books I think that they
are very intresting my favorite parts were when Clementine named her cats Polka Dot,Mostrizer,andLaxitive. I think Clemintine was very loyal when she saw that her ''friend'' had a bald red head so Clementine tried to make her better so she cut her hair off and Brittany colored it green. My mom asked me if I would do that for my friend I said HECK no so thats my summary on Clementine. BYE! |

I see a new Clementine book is coming out "next year".If you already know what the story is about,why will it take so long??

It takes me a while to write each Clementine because I revise. A LOT. The fourth Clementine, CLEMENTINE: FRIEND OF THE WEEK, won't be out until next year because the publication process takes a while - even though I've gotten the story written already, it's still got to go to Marla Frazee to be illustrated, and then my publisher and I will make final edits and adjustments, and then it has to be printed. You know what? We can't be exactly sure yet when it will be out. I've finished writing it, but now it has to go to Marla Frazee so she can do her wonderful illustrations, and then it has to have final edits and adjustments and be printed by my publisher. The only part I control is the writing of the story, and that part is already done!

I've read the three Clementine book - as the daughter of a teacher and principal, I totally appreciate how you've captured the struggles of this child who thinks differently than others - I can't believe how real she is! I love the part about the substitute teacher, and how they figure out how to work together. All teachers should read these! Thank you!! Please write more of Clementine's adventures! |
