Do you ever make it out to Portland, Oregon?? We would simply love to see you.
Sara's Comments I haven't been to Portland recently... But I'd love to come! I'm always open to booking appearances. Best, Sara

I think the Clementine books are funny and cute! Clementine is trouble, trouble. Clementine does funny things. Clementine is my favorite character in the story. You have done a great job on the Clementine books. Thank you!
Sara's Comments You are welcome, Isabella. Keep on reading! Best, Sara

Dear Sara, I am overjoyed that my first-grade son is now able to read stories that we truly both enjoy. We read the Stuart books with delight! They are the most creative early readers I've found. Thank you very much! I tell everyone about them, most recently his teacher, who loves Clementine but didn't know Stuart. Anyway, Samuel asked me to buy the next book. Innocently I walked into the store only to learn that we'd reached the end of the line. Imagine the look on my son's face when I told him the awful truth!! PLEASE tell me (us) when we might look forward to more fun with Stuart and his wonderful cape!! Respectfully, Deb and Samuel

My 7 year old and I just discovered your Clementine books and love reading them together. We've read 2 and can't wait to get the others. My daughter has a peanut allergy and loved the part in "The Talented Clementine" when Clementine left a warning note to the babysitter on her brother's forehead. Not many authors include food allergy story lines. As a mom with a child with a life-threatening peanut allergy, I'd like to say thanks for introducing the topic in your books and bringing awareness to this age group. I'm going to be writing a book review for my blog readers. I think other parents would like to know how cute these books are and how thrilled my daughter was that you included a character with a peanut allergy. Sara's Comments Hi Melanie! I just saw your blog entry - thank you SO much for reading, and for blogging. My children don't have allergies, but my nephew is very allergic to peanuts. It was obviously a very serious and very big deal (as it is to Clementine and her brother)... But it's also NOT a big deal; not something that needs to define a child, just some of his or her actions. Do you know what I mean? Best, Sara

Hi Sara, I just finished you book Clementine, Friend of the Week. It was wonderful! I cried, and I'm in my 40's! I was wondering if you could make your blog so that it has an RSS feed so that I might subscribe to it in an RSS reader, such as Google Reader. Thanks!
Sara's Comments Hey Becky, We're working on revamping the site, and getting RSS feed buttons and all that is definitely on the list... Then I will actually start blogging too! Best, Sara

when I was three my Mom read me all of the clementine books and I loved them. Now I am 7 and in 2nd grade. In book group I read Clementine's Letter again. I thought it was very funny that the little girl in kindergarten talked weird because of her missing teeth. Now I have to make my own book cover for Clementine's Letter. I have to write about you. Can you tell me something special about you that isn't on your website? I would really appreciate it. Thanks!
