Dear Sara
I'm not sure whether to write this from my 8year old's perspective or mine.
Every summer, for the past 4 years, we sit out on our garden swing and we read books to each other taking turns. Okay fine, I read to her until she learned to read! And we try and save the best books for swing time.
Well after the first Clementine, we marched right back to the library to check out all the ones we could find that had an orange cover with a girl with red curls!
Thank you so much for writing these books. And here's the part that is really embarrassing amongst all these comments from 6-7 year olds! I'm a 39 year old Dyslexia specialist and I work with kids who have ADD and as I approach the end of your book, I found my own eyes getting blurry. As I said highly embarrassing to admit, even had to hide it from the 8year old but I just wanted to write and say I think you're a fine writer, and your love for these kids shows through every word.

Dear Ms. Pennypacker,
I love the Clementine books!!!!!!! They are funny because Clementine calls her brother vegetable names. I like how her dad makes jokes about his tool belt in Clementine and the family Meeting. Tonight I am starting another Clementine book, Friend of the Week. I am excited to read it. I read the books with my Mom and we laugh our heads off. Thanks for writing stories.
