Dear Sara Pennypacker,
I love your clementine books.I have read them all. They hook you so you don't want to stop reading.I am always looking to see if you have come out with any new books at the library. Speaking of that, are you going to write any more books for the Clementine series? I LOVE the ending of your new book "Clementine and the Spring Trip" I like it when clementine finds the arrow pointing to the screw and then when Clementine finds the Egguna sandwich from Baxter. One day i hope to be as good of a writer as you are. Your my inspiration.
From,

My 2nd grade class just loves Clementine. We can't get enough of her. We have not read all of the books, but my class would love to know if the new sibling's name will be revealed or will Clementine spend all of her energy making up veggie and fruit names for this new addition. Congratulations on a wonderful series. |

Dear Sara,
Congratulations!!!
Your book, Clementine, has been nominated for the 2014 Bluestem Award sponsored by the Illinois School Library Media Association. Your book was nominated by the students of Illinois for inclusion on this year's master list of 20 titles that students love to read. The book was reviewed by a panel of school and public librarians before it was chosen for the list.
Illinois students will vote for their favorite in March, 2014 to determine the winner of the Bluestem Award. If your book is voted to receive the award, you will be contacted with further information. The winning title will be announced on our ISLMA social networks, press releases to major state newspapers and organizations, and will be posted on the ISLMA website at www.islma.org. Traditionally a formal presentation of the book award is made at our annual fall conference.
Again, congratulations to Clementine for being selected to be on the 2014 Bluestem Award master list.
If you have questions, please contact me, Brian Wilson, at bwilson@cityofevanston.org.

We recently stumbled upon our sweet new friend, Clementine, when searching the audio section of our library for books to listen to as part of our homeschool lives. Oh, how happy we are to have met her! Clementine voices the thoughts and feelings of children like my 7 and 10 year olds and brings chuckles and smiles to me as their mother! We love you Clementine! |
