Sara, I'm a middle school English teacher, and I read a LOT of young adult literature as part of my job. I just wanted to say that Pax is beautiful and poignant- I'll be reading it aloud to my students this year, and I know they will love it. Please keep writing! |

HI Sara,
I'm what most people consider an "adult". I have a full time job in something that I never thought I'd end up in, now have aches that don't go away after a day, and generally have been losing what I thought I used to be. Part of that was A reader. I used to read books for pleasure constantly. With various events in my life I've let my passion slip off and haven't read a book in years. Recently while in a second hand shop I happened across Pax. I loved the cover and opened it to the title page where it had been inscribed "To Alex, find Pax. Sara Pennypacker". It felt like fate. I devoured it in one evening, feeling in sync with Vola and her journey back to herself. I just wanted to Thank you for the wonderful book, and to let you know you have a new fan. |

Hello! I have to say I loved your book Pax! So much so that I'm writing a screenplay. I do want to ask: could I write the screenplay? |

Ms. Pennypacker, you are a great author and I am a fan of Pax. After I read this book, foxes were my favorite animal. I got two books of Pax for Christmas. I gave one to my friend, and she loved it too. So every resess at school we would play foxes. We also got matching stuffed animal foxes! I named mine Pax, and she named hers Bristle. I thought it would be cool if you made a book about Runt and Bristle's past, because I have always wondered about them. It would also be really cool if Pax was made into a movie, don't you think? |

Ms. Greene's Class |
Our class loved your book Pax, but we were torn about the ending. As an author, did you write any alternate endings? What made you decide to end the book the way you did? One student learned a lot about facing anger and having the courage to change. Thank you for giving us this moment to share. We hope Pax, Bristle and Runt are out there somewhere running wild! |

Hey. I want you to make a sequel to the book Pax. You left my teacher, my ELA class, and I on a cliffhanger at the end of the book. Please make a sequel. |

Pleasure, my name is Jefferson, I'm Brazilian and right now I just read Pax. I had so much fun. I liked how the story changed between Pax and Peter. The story is perfect, I had in my childhood to leave my dog. And I know how painful it is. I wonder if there will be a continuation? |

Sara,
I just read Pax. I've never read a book so fast. I was glued to it and couldn't put it down. Cost me a night of sleep. I didn't care. I love this story. I love the way you tell it. I'm in love with the fox! I love animals. I hope you will write back. Summer of the Gypsy Moths is next. But I want more of Pax! All the best, Heidi |
