Greetings! I'm writing on behalf of myself and my 4th and 7th grade daughters (Faith and Grace). We are AVID readers and can't keep enough books in our home--we frequent our local library weekly.
The one positive of this pandemic is that I've started reading more again (making time to do so) . . . funny thing is, I've been reading what my girls are reading (which isn't a bad thing).
We all just finished Here in the Real World and LOVED it. I loved your style of writing, the honesty of the characters and the realistic aspect of how hard it is for some to communicate (kids and adults). It's so refreshing for me to know that there are good writers out there, who don't need to use shock, bad language or ridiculous romance themes to sell books.
We read Pax a few years ago which was also a wonderful book and a great story. Lastly, we read the entire Clementine series--funny and delightful storytelling!
We just wanted to say thank you and keep on writing!! |

Thank you, Sara. My nne year old daughter and I are reading the Clementine series for the third time. The first two, I was reading to her, but now, the veracious reader that she has grown up to be, she is reading to me. Your books crack me (and her) up. Love the art work. Blessings! |

Dear Sara Pennypacker,
I love your books Clementine.They are my favourite books ever! I Am Gwen, I am 9 years old and I like writing. I live in Vancouver B.C. My favourite colour is purple and my favourite food is pizza and pasta with cheese. I am in grade 4.
My favourite book in the series is Clemintine And The Spring Trip. Clementine is really funny and I love how mad she gets when her mom tells her they are having a baby. I saw a Clemintine book in my closet my grandma gave to me. I decided to read it with my mom. I found more Clementine books in my closet and wanted to read them all. And I did! I am still trying to get Clemintine’s letter and Completely Clementine. Other than that I have read all the other Clemintntine books.
I think you are the best writer because your books Clementine are so funny. Every time I read them I laugh. I find that Clementine is the best character ever and I love that in Clementine And The Spring Trip she does not like Olive talk and that she thinks that the pilgrim lady is a real pilgrim lady.
By the way, can you write me back? If you do, can I have your autograph?

I am a 9 year old child I am reading both your books Clementine and Pax I like them both but I stopped reading Clementine because my parents don't wont me to read it but I would not have seen Pax if I did not enter K12 I really like Pax so far I am about to read Chapters 16-18 for school so thank you so much I love your writing I would love to read more of your books thank you and thank you for taking the time to read this!!!😍💙👧 |
