Dear Sara, I just turned six, and my mama and papa and I just finished your Clementine series. We loved it and are so sad it's over. I want you to write a book about her being in fourth grade. Please!! Thanks for being such a good writer. -Anabel |

Hi
Recently, I just finished reading your book, pax and pax journey home and I have been wondering if we are going to get a third part. and if we are getting one, I really hope that Pax, Silver, Bristle and Peter reunite together. It was really sad for the unity to be torn and it left me very hollow after reading the both parts. |

Dear Ms.Pennypacker,
Please write more of your engaging clementine books. I would love that. Your books are amazing. Clementine is a funny character. Also, when is your next book coming? Are you planning to write another Clementine book or any other book in general?
Yours Sincerely,
Jasmine Sevak

I'm a fellow children's book author and a youth services library assistant, and I just had a Super Sara Pennypacker Week. Thank you for your amazing books! We're reading Clementine's Letter with my 2nd-3rd-grade book club, which I picked because I think that whole series is utterly fantastic for every reader. Re-reading it to prepare for my club had me laughing out loud with every page, and my readers are so excited to discuss it with me next week. Then I read Here In the Real World and loved Ware so much. He's me as a kid, 100%. Did you draw upon any of your own introverted experiences to write Ware? If so, we're kindred spirits. |

Thank you for writing Pax and Pax Journey Home. They are extraordinary books, beautifully written and illustrated and incredibly moving. Both books have really resonated with me and I am so grateful that I had the opportunity to read them. Although they are children's books, which I have shared with my class, they have also meant so much to me as an adult.
Thank you |

Dear Ms Pennypacker,
Clementine is one of my most favorite characters of all, and I have read almost all of the books you have written about her. She is silly, curious, and has a big heart because she worries about others. This makes me wish she and I could be friends.
The books are funny and have unique characters. What I like most is how you make me look forward to reading each new chapter.
Will you ever reveal Clementine’s brother’s real name? I am hoping you will write many more books about Clementine. I love your creativity and sense of humor.
From,
Ella, a Clementine fan

Dear Sara,
I wanted to tell you how deeply your books have affected me as a young adult. I would've liked to write you a paper letter, but because this is the only contact method I found, I hope it reaches you well.
I discovered the Clementine series when I was close to Clementine's age. I found them entertaining and enjoyable, but didn't think of them again until last year. After a severe illness which left me discouraged and feeling lost, I remembered the single name of a sweet series: Clementine.
I downloaded each audiobook and savored the innocent charades and affectionate interactions in each book. Jessica Almasy was brilliant in bringing the characters to life in a new way. Clementine made me laugh and think and remember myself as an elementary schooler. I was a youngest child who was often called overly sensitive and hyper by my older siblings, so these labels stuck to me like mud as I grew older.
After reviewing Clementine I realized I was none of these things - I was simply a kid acting like a kid! Clementine's sensitivity and energy are part of what makes her so endearing. And I learned from her (really, from you) that these things aren't bad. It was also a comort to have a series to read that was mellow, funny, quirky, and sweet in a tumultuous time in my life.
I would write more but this is already too publicly sentimental for me, haha!
I just wanted to say thank you, thank you, thank you.
Thank you for Clementine.
Love, Sophia |

Dear Sara,
Hi! My name is Aubrey and I'm 10 years old. When I first read Pax in October, the end made me bawl my eyes out. I'm writing this because I want you to know how happy and aware your Pax series has made me. I've read over 50 chapter books this year, but Pax has been the only one that made me feel alive, like I was there. Your books have inspired me so much! And I just love foxes, they're so smart and cute! Thank you for writing these books, they've inspired me so much I want to write my own. Anyway, thank you for reading! I know you probably won't reply, considering how much fanmail you get, but if you do read this please reply! It would make my day!
Love, Aubrey
P.S your my favorite author!! |
