Dear, Ms Pennpacker,
I love your book Pax. My mom and I read BOTH ones. I was wondering if it will ever become a movie? I hope it will and I hope you will maybe write another Pax book too. I'm 7!

Dear Mrs. Pennypacker,
I really enjoyed this book. The reason I enjoyed this book is because this book is about an animal who is smarter than Peter thinks in the book. He loses him and then at the end of the book, they “reunite.” This is a very heartfelt story with plot twists that I thought was going to mess up both Peter’s and Pax’s journey. Overall the book was good and I would recommend it to a friend.
The thing I really liked about this book was that it gave a little background of the first book on how Peter lost his pet fox, Pax. I also liked how Pax had a whole new family of his own. There was one thing I always questioned during the book and I’m going to ask you. Why would Silver, the vixen, follow Pax and drink out of the polluted water even though the boys should have come? But, this book was still really good. Thanks for your opportunity to read this letter and keep making incredible books!
Sincerely,
Austin Henderson
This is from my sixth grade student, Austin Henderson.
Thanks,
Nick Mills

Your Clementine books are beyond wonderful. I’m reading #7 now, and just had to stop and let you know they’re so fab I’ve ordered them all. Even though I’m a grandmom without a reading grandkid. One not interested and one too young. The series makes me wish I were a mom again so I could have the fun of parenting again. And how I wish I had a reading grandkid! Thanks for these wonderful stories. I assume you haven’t done an epilogue. Any chance you’d create an epilogue to let me know what happens to Clementine? I loathe ‘unfinished’ stories and there’s so much left of her story. And, I’ll reread them immediately and add the best lines to my journal, recording lines I love. Best one - when Mrs Rice tells Clementine she can’t have a sub, because there’s no one like her. Also love the vegetable names! Thanks for giving me a new character to love. |

hello, ms. Pennypacker!
I know I'm, not your intended audience (I'm well into my teen years) but I just wanted to say thank you so much. I read your book "here in the real world" with my friends and they finally understand the stuff that's going on in my head all the time! I suffer from the zone-out-way-too-much disorder (thats not a real dignosis but it is a real problem lol). this was such a great book and I love all of the small details that really bring it to life. I know you most likely won't read this, and I know it probably sounds really silly but thank you so much for writing my favorite book. |

Dear Sara,
Thank you so much for making your amazing Clementine series. My sister and I have loved them since we were little kids. We're not kids anymore but we still love and talk about those books. We both think Clementine would still be best friends with Margaret and married to Mitchell. Thank you for making such amazing stories, I'm in childcare and I read your books to the kids i look after and one day I'll read them to my own.
Thank you so much. |

Dear Sara Pennypacker,
My students completed a "Reading like a Fan" unit. My 4th grade student chose to read and study your books. We focused on noticing your style and craft through story elements. I hope you enjoy reading their fan letter below, as much as they enjoyed reading your books!
With pleasure,
Candi Randall
Dear Sara Pennypacker,
I think you are an awesome author. My class is doing a reading like a fan unit and we need to send letters to our favorite authors and I picked you. I have only read two of your books but I love Pax and Pax Journey Home.
In Pax, the first part I was almost in tears. It was so sad when Peter had to throw the toy soldier and he was the one who had to throw it. And you did an amazing job in describing Paxes point of view. It was almost like I was in the story or I was one of the characters.
And I love the part when Peter finds Vola and it teaches an amazing life lesson And how to take care of himself.
Also in pax journey home I can’t believe that Pax and Bristle had their own kits! I was so surprised!
I don't have any connection to any of the characters but I Love all the characters.
Also I have a few questions. One, are you going to write another Pax? Because I love them so far. Two, I need to know the names of some of your other books so I can read them.
And finally, why did you want to make a book about a fox and a boy?
I am telling all my friends to read it, but I let one of my friends read it and she gave it back as soon as she read the first chapter and said “I’m giving it back only because I’m going to buy it with my own money. It's so good.”
So I hope you can answer some of my questions. And I really hope you can get back to me. And I really really hope you are going to write another Pax.
Your biggest fan,
Sophia Rodway

Hi Sara,
I teach 4th grade and my students absolutely loved your books! We just finished the second one. They were wondering if your book ever was adapted into a film? I have been doing some research and can only find articles from 2017 saying that SKE had the rights to make the movie. They really would love to watch it but I can't seem to track it down. Maybe you can help to let me know? I'll keep researching! |
